What is nickel-plated copper wire? What are the advantages of nickel-plated copper wire? What are the introductions of nickel-plated copper wire? First, let's look at the definition of nickel-plated copper wire. Nickel-plated copper wire definition: A wire in which a layer of nickel is plated on copper by electrolysis or chemical methods.

Knowing the definition of nickel-plated copper wire, it is said that the advantages of nickel-plated copper wire: the parts have excellent corrosion resistance, wear resistance, weldability and high hardness, etc., to meet the requirements of the use of parts and improve the service life of parts.

The above general understanding of nickel-plated copper wire, next to talk about the content of nickel-plated copper wire in detail.

Nickel-plated copper wire introduction Nickel-plated copper wire nickel-plated method:

1, electroless nickel plating: under certain conditions, the metal ions in the aqueous solution are reduced by reducing agents, and the process of precipitation to the surface of the solid substrate. The plating solution is generally nickel sulfate, nickel acetate and other main salts, phosphite, sodium borohydride, borane, hydrazine and other reducing agents, and then add various auxiliaries.

Advantages of electroless nickel plating:

(1) It has a wide range of coverage capabilities, and a more uniform coating can be obtained for various parts of complex parts.

(2) It has much better deep plating ability than electroplating, which can greatly reduce the phenomenon of no coating in the blind hole and deep hole of the plating part.

(3) Electroless nickel layer has much better corrosion resistance, wear resistance, weldability and uniform coating thickness and high hardness than electroplating and brush plating.

2, electroplating: in the salt solution containing pre-gold plating, the substrate metal is plated as the cathode, through electrolysis, so that the pre-gold plating cation in the plating solution is deposited on the surface of the substrate metal, forming a surface processing method of coating.

3, brush plating: with an electrode or brush connected with the anode and can provide the electrolyte needed for electroplating, move on the workpiece as the cathode to select the method of electroplating.

Advantages of brush plating: Brush plating is a new process developed in recent years, its biggest advantage is that it does not need to be plated, and the deposition speed is faster. Because of its equipment, easy operation, can choose a variety of coatings, and has high bonding strength and other advantages, it is widely used in aviation, ships, railways, electronics and machinery and various vehicle maintenance, is currently a new process promoted by the state.

Disadvantages of brush plating: brush plating in many fields, such as repairing some parts with large quantities and large areas of coating, the productivity is obviously not very high, and compared with chemical plating, the deep plating of brush plating is also obviously not as good as chemical plating.

Nickel-plated copper wire introduction The difference between nickel-plated copper wire and bare copper wire: Nickelized copper wire and bare copper wire almost no difference in temperature and electrical properties, the difference is that the nickel plating layer in the air stability is very high, because the metal nickel has a strong passivation ability, on the surface can quickly generate an extremely thin passivation film, can resist the corrosion of the atmosphere, alkali and some acids, and the hardness of the nickel coating is relatively high, can improve the wear resistance of the surface of the product.

Nickel plated copper wire introduction Pretreatment of copper wire before nickel plating:

1, oil removal: Copper wire in the drawing and handling process, its surface will be stained with oil. Since it is impossible to completely remove these oil stains during the annealing process, chemical degreasing and electric degreasing must be used before electroplating to make them clean.

2, pickling: cleaning with hydrochloric acid solution, there is no large corrosion effect on the copper wire, on the contrary, it can remove the thin oxide film on the surface of the copper wire, and the residue left on the copper wire is less. The chemical pickling process is as follows:

(1) The acid lotion is a hydrochloric acid solution, and the ratio of hydrochloric acid and water is 1:2.

(2) Pickling at room temperature for 5~10s.

Precautions for pretreatment of nickel plated copper wire before nickel plating: The copper wire must be rinsed with hot and cold water after each oil removal. If the cleaning is not clean, it is easy to bring soap and other soap into the pickling solution and form fatty acids, which hinders the pickling process. After pickling, the copper wire should be rinsed with at least two cold water, and washed with distilled water (or deionized water) before entering the plating tank to avoid impurities into the plating tank.

Nickel-plated copper wire annealing reasons: nickel-plated copper wire after drawing, plasticity decreased, tensile strength and hardness increased significantly. The nickel-plated copper wire must be annealed because of the need of product performance.

The annealing method of nickel-plated copper wire is described by using pot furnace and bell furnace. Although the recrystallization temperature of nickel is 530~660℃, the recrystallization temperature of copper is 230℃, so the annealing temperature of nickel-plated copper wire should not be too high. The annealing temperature in the pot furnace is 2500℃, and the annealing temperature in the bell furnace is 330~350℃. The arrangement of plates of nickel-plated copper wires in the annealing furnace must make each plate uniformly heated, and it is not necessary to rise sharply, so as to avoid bonding and tarnish of nickel-plated copper wires.

Nickel-plated copper wire introduction The purpose of pulling nickel-plated copper wire:

1. Increase the smoothness of the surface of nickel-plated copper wire and the density of the coating, because the surface color of nickel-plated copper wire obtained by rapid ordinary nickel plating is not smooth, and the surface color can be smooth by pulling the wire.

2, can increase production, reduce costs.

3, easy to produce small diameter nickel-plated copper wire, and fine copper wire is easy to break when directly plated nickel.
